(Mind bending) Park Factors Topic

ok, so I'm checking out the Theme League Ballparks which of course is more fun than a human should be allowed. But my world quickly came crashing down around me as I stumbled across seeming anomalies. My world no longer seem to make any sense....wait a minute....(pssst, its the wife)

um, well ok...now that i've been adjusted back to reality where was I? Oh yeah...

Anyway, I looked at Huntington Ave Baseball Grounds:

+1__0__0__0__0 Park factor: 1.01

ok, PF indicates a slightly favorable hitters park

Then I looked at Shibe Park:

+2__0__0__0__0 Park factor: .99

Huh? PF indicates a slightly favorable pitchers park.

I casually looked around to see if anything else might be amiss and there are others such as (for one):

Polo Grounds IV: -1__+1__0__-1__-1 Park factor: .98
Polo Grounds V: -1__+3__0__-1__-1 Park factor: .98

Now I realize the PF is probably rounded off but I find it hard to believe increasing doubles by +2 all others being equal wouldn't move it up at least 1 one-hundredth. But perhaps Polo IV is .975 and Polo V is .984.

But given the Hungington/Shibe anomaly that stood out a little as well. Know what I mean?

Has anyone noticed this and/or others as well? The PF most likely is merely a reference with no effect itself but does it indicate an error somewhere that may or may not affect the sim. At the very least if you sorted by PF the Huntington/Shibe parks would be on the opposite ends of zero when that can't possibly be. Perhaps these are only typo issues.

Should I send a support ticket to get to the bottom of this monumental, super critical, fantastical, humongous, gargantuan, mind-bending, paradigm altering issue? Or should I ask my wife to make me a sandwich and get on with my life. And furthermore I implore why does it have to be one or the other! Why can't I have both?! (At least the sandwich, I don't HAVE to get on with my life.)

What to do...

The hit modifiers are rounded, so those zeroes may all be 0.49 or -0.49 for that matter, and the PF's relevance is to how many runs were scored in that ballpark. A ballpark with a PF of 1.00 allows an average number of runs to score, below 1.00 indicates that fewer than average runs are scored in that park, and a number above 1.00 indicates that more runs are scored in that park than on average.

The PF isn't used (as far as I know) in any capacity here on WIS other than for reference sake. The hit modifiers are what are used. Though it could also be possible for a park to give up a greater than average number of certain types of hits, but have lower overall scoring than another similar park.
