best SP under 4.5 million? Topic

i have been looking for a few days now and my results have been inconclusive, could some veterans tell me who some effective starting pitchers are under 4.5 million. most of the hall of famers dont have enough IP to be effective and a lot of the other guys have higher whips. who are some guys youve had success with under 4.5 million, answers are much appreciated thanks. the rest of my team, all 24 guys are pretty much set, this is the only roster spot i have questions about, thanks again for answers/opinions.

first figure out how many innings you need. the more IP the worse your pitcher will be for $4.5m. anyone over 200ip is nothing more than an inning eater.

His BB aren't great (3.28/9), but check out 1905 Weldon Henley. I've had pretty good luck with him in the past.

The problem with him is he gives up so many hits that even without counting his limited number of walks, his performance history WHIP is 1.37

This thread makes me want to make an OL team with a 4 or 5 man rotation of all pitchers under $5 million... Thing is I know that the 110 or 115 regular season wins aren't likely to translate into playoff success...
