I see range has been modified in the new system to put players on the same -30 to +30 play range across positions. Does this really apply to 1B as well? Is anyone getting over 25 + plays from their A+++ range 1B??

No, my D- 1B are on pace for less than 10 - plays. my other D and D- starters aren't doing much worse. My utility infielders playing secondary positions are making a huge number of - plays.

Are they making the - plays even wit hgood letter grades?

my a range infielders have no - plays. but i am enjoying the + plays in the infield

I haven't wanted to spend the coin to run a purely test team, but I feel pretty certain I could get a lot more than 30 + plays at 1B.

Anyone else care to share data on the new +/- distribution?

Even without Erstad.

I am currently using a high range team in Coors. Players are made up of guys I felt have decent offense and high, but not super high range due to their cost. Thru 4 games (I know its early) we've made 11 + plays, zero - plays.

Encouraging to say the least.

Also, it seems the a++ range pitchers are back. I've gotten 3 from my P so far in 4 games.

I think what yogsloth is thinking is that he could play a 1B with solid range in an IF with 3 poor fielders. They would make more bad throws, giving the 1B more opportunities to scoop balls out of the dirt and get + plays...

Exactly what is the significance of "plus" or "good" plays and "minus" or "poor" plays by fielders?
