That really depends on the frame of reference. It certainly has the "appearance" of "real football", even if a bit dated. Under the hood, it certainly is NOT "real football".

Is Madden "real football"?

If you're asking, does it simulate the results of real football, then in general, yes, but in some glaring ways not even close. For example, when's the last time in GD your defense had a strip sack? In real football, when's the last time you watched an entire season go by without a single injury? Never mind NIL, the transfer portal, or conference realignment.

For a game that is 20 years old that has limited resources and a small playerbase it does an ok-ish job. There are some flaws and clunky systems but the overall result is more or less "football".

Also it's a game, not a hardcore sim. I'm sure a lot of design decisions were made to make it playable and enjoyable for casuals rather than ultra-realistic and complicated.

Very fun game IMHO...but nothing like the real game.
You really don't have to know anything about football or sports to be good at this game.

It's more like playing the board games RISK or Monopoly than football

I didn't even see anything remotely offensive in the post mojo, it was a harmless, good-natured dad joke.

No, it's not like real football. It's a simulation based on a set of rules that does not reflect real football.

Also, there was nothing offensive in Mojo's post, ya snowflake.

Thanks Narcotico and Mitz. Yah, my joke(granted, not a great one) was based on the liquor first part and the Emperor second part of Gin Ceaser's username. That was the only thing I could see as offensive in the least(and I didn't think so).
I kid around a lot in these forums but I am also respectful to not do anything that I would not done to me..
Ah well. ???
