has anyone at whatever levels noticed a change or very strange results. As in when one team has dramatically better numbers and the numbers seem meaningless. Seen this multiple times lately and wonder if they have changed engine or are tinkering with it. Just gave up almost 400 yards to a back that had an OLINE that was mediocre at best. vs a pretty decent dline and defense. In second half played run defense and it got worse. If this was just one strange or fluke game but have seen it MULTIPLE times lately. same thing on other side of ball where guy has defenders starting that are not even quality backups and they shut a team completely down in a half and sometimes a game. In the past did not see these drastic results - know that more SP teams blocks and returns have been occurring over past six months or so. Maybe it is just at D3 - but had to ask. OL that are ranked and playing and they are like 500 in class should not be opening holes to the tune of about 400 yards. thx and gl

Definitely been seeing more punt/kick returns for TDs, they are almost commonplace now. Not sure any of my teams are good enough to notice weird outcomes in the running game though, always seemed like normal variance to me. Are you giving up a few big plays or just constant 5-10 yard gains?

big plays yes but the consistent 5-8 yards

it is not an everyday thing by any means - but some games (certainly not just one) in the playoffs where it counts it is like

let's say in giving up 125 yards rushing vs 250-300 to a single guy - or a def line that is basically not good getting 5-8 sacks
vs a top 3 ol line in country. Maybe my guys are just producing and are worried about the parties after games!

I have definitely seen a difference.

Several mediocre sims teams have kept it close with me for a half across almost all levels.

But, more importantly, the gap between human-coached teams has really changed. Some games that I expected to be relatively easy have been very tight and a few have gone against me. Other games where the teams appear to be pretty even have become massive blowouts in both directions.

It really has me questioning my gameplanning.

Yes, there is definitely some "tinkering" going on behind the scenes.

Yes, something has changed. My team at Texas Tech has some kind of cheat code. The talent level between that team and my other teams at PSU and Oklahoma aren't close. I don't think any TT players would start on the PSU team. Yet, TT has had far more success the past 5 seasons than the other two combined.

appreciate the feedback - I know upsets happen or fluke plays

but bums dominating in certain aspects does not really happen in the real world Carolina will not run for 250 vs ravens unless a TON of injuries etc

Hard to say.

It could just be rng-based upsets or one-off odd games, but in any case I can definitely now plan on blaming all of my future losses on this "secret update".

I have a D2 team and a D3 team. The D2 team is pretty good at running and I have not seen any uptick. The D3 team sucks and also has not seen any uptick.

My situation is a little unique.. I took several seasons off and just jumped back in. My formation IQ is low, which I know hurts, but I have gotten wrecked by several sims that talent was at worst equal.

I feel like a dominant OL is not worth it these days. Have seen some of the same in regards to OL as you mentioned. Have seen mediocre, multiple Fr starting OL win NC in some of my worlds. Believe guess formulas are not the bible anymore either
