I'm no expert My opinion is that at some point the extra offense outweighs the value of the defense I think you're at a cap where the offense is more important

There are a lot more variables to consider. Are you using one of Ruth's stud seasons ('20, '21, '23) or are you using one of his 1930's D- range seasons? Is the league full of deadball pitchers that will neutralize Ruth's HR potential? What is your home ballpark?

Yes have both 20 and 23 but through 76 PAs the 23 version is hitting .175 with an OBP of .316 and slugging .381. Playing at Citizens bank (all zero impact except -1 on triples). I jumped in at last minute (one spot left), didn’t think it through well and drafted mostly modern pitchers (giving up HRs) while facing dead ball era pitchers. Just trying to figure out best course from here.

76 PAs isn't enough time. I'd keep both Ruths. Those versions will make your team better than if you replaced one of them with Hamilton.
