there was no afternoon game? (11/4/18) Topic

I fully expect that we will not get a timely response. The schedule remains intact, but the afternoon game was not played in any of my leagues.

If the schedule is not rescheduled, I think we all have grounds to get our money back and be done with this site.

yep - the site is running like a well oiled....

not only was the afternoon game not played, tonight's am game WAS played. All of my dc/settings were set up for a game that wasn't played and enforced on a game that was.

lol

Game 7 of the finals in purgatory forever.

My first thought was, "... So this is how it ends."

This has got to suck for anyone in the midst of the playoffs.

The level of f*** up on this is truly amazing. The standings have me as losing my last game (L1), but there's no indication of it on the schedule. Did I lose yesterday's afternoon game or today's morning game? I dunno--neither one even appears on the schedule!

And as yet no response to any of this. I realize the NBA sim is the least important thing to them of everything they sell, but come on WIS, pretend you care a little!

Settle down. I sent a ticket, they responded to my ticket super quickly and reset all the games. I think they handled it pretty effectively. Bugs happen. They are running all this code with a staff of two? It's pretty impressive.

They could rectify the staff situation pretty easily. Sorry, but with the neglect over a ten year span which includes still not having released the 17-18 players which should have been released six months ago, this is actually an organizational failure. If they were to hire more people, write more code, update the gameplay, release the 17-18 players and actually care, then maybe they would get the benefit of the doubt from me.

It's possible they are just barely covering their operating costs... I mean I haven't seen their books or anything. But I would guess if they could afford staff they would hire staff.

I'm not trying to be a WiS apologist or anything. Just sympathetic as someone who works in tech.

I'm with robusk on all this so far. I don't know how the mistake happened but the fix - and explanation - seemed reasonable to me.

I'm with robusk on this one. I sent a ticket as well and it was rectified within 2 hours. No harm done.

I struggle to see how this site isn't extremely profitable. Teams are overpriced. I know nothing about hosting a site, but I always thought WIS was a pretty great business model for the little they offer. I can't stop myself from buying teams. They should be able to hire one or two more people.

So everyone has to put in an individual ticket? No universal fix? Sorry, that is no way to run a business.
