Sending the following ticket:

The 18-19 NBA season has kicked off. We still don't have the 17-18 NBA players.

At least one prog I'm in has died because of this. Several owners have left the site because of this one league.

Ncaa football & basketball rosters took/are taking precedence over NBA players, when, afaik, there is no actual paid service for those, only sim matchup/dream teams. This seems like an obvious misstep from a financial sense.

I will no longer pay for anything on this site until the new players are added. I'm not the first person that I've heard say this. I know people have even offered to help that have the understanding/ability to do so, yet they were ignored.

I offer no ultimatum as to a date for when the players have to be released. I will simply no longer spend money on the site. I'm going to encourage others to do the same. I have several teams saved up from winning / running leagues, so I will be around to harass you for a little while longer.

I'd rather not waste your time with these messages, but for the love of all things holy, the opening game of the next season is almost over and we have no idea if we'll ever even get 2017-18 players at this point.

Get it together.

We're working hard to catch up on importing the 2017 teams. College Football teams were added on 9/30. The remaining order will be College Basketball, NBA, NHL, then MLB 2018. There's no specific time frame for when a particular sport will be done, but we're hoping to have them all done within the next few months. I apologize for any inconvenience.

So, again, prioritizing something that doesn't bring in money (there is no college hoops sim to my knowledge) over things that do. Oh well.

so what they're saying is we'll be lucky if we get the 17-18 players by the All-Star break of the 18-19 season. Should've been WIS’ first priority. this has gone too far.

I'm shocked they're putting basketball over MLB. I think this may be good news in comparison to what I thought (which is the NBA sim would be in perpetual life support with no future changes).

RIP WIS. I joined in Feb 2001 and have played mostly consistently through late 2017. I've been coming back every few weeks since May to sign up for a sim basketball league...upon inclusion of the 17-18 players.
The site's inability to upload these rosters tells me that the game is not worth playing. If they can't perform this basic need, how can the simleague engine be in a decent state.
It is a sad day for me. I always loved WIS. Bye bye.

This is lunacy. Get your house in order, WIS.

This is the first time in over 10 years that I haven't had any active non-exhibition WIS teams. My favorite sim is the NBA but once the IRL NBA season ends I don't play WIS NBA until the new players are uploaded, so it's been awhile to say the least. While waiting I typically dabble in a couple of the other WIS leagues, like MLB or the college football or hoops sims. But just now I went to check scores and realized, hey, there's nothing to check! It's a sad day for me since I've had so much fun with WIS through the years, but strangely liberating at the same time.

also no one uses that thing anyway - it's just more of the same 'hey we delivered something no one asked for at the cost of the thing everyone was clamoring for' (and which should by all rights be delivered routinely without anyone having to ask for it in the first place)

Curry 18-19 is looking good so far. Can wait to try it on 2022
