If you are posting here it probably means you're interested in joining basketball leagues. We have a theme league co-op to help get leagues filled. So far, it has been very successful, but we lost some people in the fabulous transition to new ownership and would love to see some new people get involved. It works something like this.....
Ever had a great theme idea but couldn't get it started due to lack of general interest?
Have you hesitated to post your great idea knowing it will never get off the ground?
Are you frustrated by the lack of general interest among simleague basketball owners?
Introducing the simleague basketball Theme League Co-Op!!!
What is it?
A core group of interested and active simleague basketball owners working together to fill and play theme leagues. The goal is to have a steady diet of theme leagues that will fill up quickly.
How it works:
1) There will be two co-op sponsored theme leagues going at a time. One will be some sort of draft league, the other will not be.
2) There will be a co-op board of three members to settle any disputes. It will work much like the fair play committees in a number of progressives. There will also be an alternate in case any of the members are involved in a dispute. The current members are Midge, gerryred, and benhoidal.
3) When a league hits the all-star break, a member of the board will contact league members asking for ideas on the next league. Using all of the ideas, the board will narrow it down to three choices. There will then be a league wide vote on those league ideas and we will go with the highest total. A two way tie will get a re-vote with only those two options. A three way tie will be decided by the board. Once a league has been decided on, anyone in the co-op will get first dibs at signing up for the new league, but DOES NOT have to join if they do not want to. After a week the league will be opened up to the general public to fill the league.
4) Whichever league gets voted on, whoever suggested it will be the commissioner. This will give more people the chance to branch out and take responsibility and hopefully get more people hooked.
