Home Court advantage? Topic

I was wondering if anyone has noticed a pronounced home court advantage - or disadvantage - to any of the available venues (Reunion Arena, Pepsi Center, Great Western Forum, Alamadome, etc...). If you don't want to give away a secret about the best venues to call home, maybe some tips on the worst venues for home court?

If you look at the match-ups before the season starts, it will make the home team a three point favorite. After the season starts it looks at the points scored, points allowed, then figures in the three point home advantage. I think that's all there is to it. I don't think they have a hot line to Louie the Large in Vegas who is setting the betting lines. I could be wrong. If someone else knows more about this feel free to correct me.

what home court you have has no documented or tested advantage.

Okay I presumed that every aspect of the SIM had an advantage/disadvantage built in, but I will trust the veterans.

Yeah, that was a good question. So basically, the home court really means nothing, as is basically the case in football. I guess baseball's the only SIM sport it makes a difference as different dimensions can complement your team's style of play.

you definitely get some advantage of home court, but not a specific home court.

Gotcha.

So you're saying it does NOT matter which arena you choose.
