How much ast% is needed on the floor to keep the offense lubricated?

Yup. Usually nice to have at least 1 guy over 20%. Just makes it easier for substitutions so you don't end up short.

I like 58.4%

Just being a jerk.

I don't look at a specific percentage as much as I look to have a 30%+ guy and two guys in the 10-20% percentage range.  I don't really think there is such a thing as too many assists.  High assists will help bump FG%'s

I tend to build teams with 60%+ but I've done well and actually won 'ships with as low as 51% (wilt trip-dub attempts).
