Defense matters again? Topic

I am noticing a change in the open leagues and exhibition seasons. Defense seems to matter again since the switch. My teams that have it seem to do much better, and those that don't are not doing as well. In my one open league, the one team is doing awesome and the major difference I see compare to some other really good teams is defense. Is anyone else noticing this as well? My most recent championship featured a team loaded with very good defensive players.

Yep I have a team with Norm Van Lier (80 D), Dwayne Wade (100 D), Larry Bird (63 D), Dennis Rodman (90 D) and Ben Wallace (100 D) in an open league.  Currently they are 42-10 and holding teams to 95 pts per game

It is nice to see that defense matters again, and with fewer defensive players, it makes putting a team together more challenging.
