It's a matter of priorities, then - I've had teams where I had Milacki-types as both LH and RH Specialists. If you want that option, it's there.
Now, you're never going to have the flexibility in Sim play that you will in Live. I believe that as they make the Sim more complicated (and more 'flexible') they'll lose players - the die-hards want a more complex sim, but not everyone wants a deep level of complexity. I mean, they could come up with a Sim that requires twelve hours of set-up time and four hours a day of management, but most players would drop. WIS is a business, so they need to find the balance of complexity and ease of play.
The way I approach the game is, I look at Live play as being a manager. Regular Sim play means you're a GM - you 'sign' the players and tell the manager how you want the team run; the game-to-game decisions are out of your control. Unfortunately, you don't have the Steinbrenner option of frequent managerial changes. Maybe that's a future Sim update: you get to choose your manager. Do you want small-ball Billy Martin a la his Twins years, Earl Weaver's '3-run HR' offense, etc. But that's another thread ...
