At long last I have something for you guys to review. I've started on a new salary formula and have a first pass for review. I've uploaded a .csv file of all draft eligible players to www.whatifsports.com/db/nba_salaries.zip.

This file contains all the data components that I used for the new formula.  It also contains both the old salary and new salary for comparison.  I have the average salary about the same as the old average, but you'll notice that the top-end players have come down and some of the bottom players have come up a little bit.  You'll also notice that 3-point shooters have gone up, as I believe that was a major weakness of the old formula.

For this phase I'd like to do two things:
1. With your help compile a list of any players that still have an incorrect listed position
2. Get feedback on the new salaries, specifically if certain areas should be weighted more or less heavily

I will start a new thread for each of these things to keep discussion separate.  I know there is a lot of frustration with the delay of this release, but if you need to vent please do so in a different thread from the two I am creating for feedback.  I will delete posts in those threads that aren't useful.  This is the time to improve the game, so please take advantage of it.
