Pitchers % after pitching a game Topic

Why is my pitcher, who pitches 209 innings in a season, after only pitching 5 innings and 88 pc, left with a   0  ( 6 ) in red, under the % column?  Shouldn't he be at like a 90% or something around that % ?

Was it the first game of the season?

Yes

After the first game, he's on pace to pitch, like, a million innings. He'll be alright.

Thanks.  This is my 2nd go around and I did not recall such a low % the first time in the league.  So, with a 4 man rotation, I will see him at 100% by the 3rd or 4th start of the new season?

You might want to throw a AAA player in there as a 5th starter the 1st time or two around to make sure everyone's fatigue evens out, but after that, he'll likely be okay.

209/41*15=76.5

Put a max pitch count of 75 on him, and he'll recover on time.

Pfeister (assuming it's him) gets about 3200 pitches for the year.  That's about 78 pitches per start over 41 starts.  Like booger said, setting him at 75/75 or 75/80 should leave him at 100% for every start.
