How can it possibly be that catcher who had great throwing years (Jady, Cannizzaro, IRod) have solid success throwing runners out that are not held on. When you have a Tim Raines, Ricky Henderson, Eric Davis or others who had basically an 80% success rate when being held on, if you play behind them and give them 2 or 3 more steps, their success rate has to go up considerably. Doesnt appear that SIM adjusts for that.
Not talking about the deadball guys who stole 80 and got threw out 50 times.
