600-800 inning pitchers Topic

Just a quick question regarding an issue i have noticed with one of my teams. I have a Micky Welch who comes out to 700+ innings per 162. Yet, if he goes even 6 innings, he is never back to 100% to go his next start, thus making another guy always have to start before welch can get to 100% and start again.  I'm sure in real life at 700+ innings per 162, he pitched MANY back to back games in a row; likely including some complete games.  So how am i supposed to use his 700 innings when he goes to 90 or 85 percent after each start?

Thanks,

lloyd

If you had another starting pitcher in the rotation with him, he should easily be able to pitch 9 innings every other game.

I do have another pitcher in the rotation with him (Keefe) who is about 500 inning pitcher.  But in order to get to 700 innings, Welch has to go 80 starts and 9 innings a start basically. Keefe on the other hand can't go 80 starts at 500 innings.  Welch should be able to pitch back to back games easily, especially if he's only on a 500 inning pace half way through the season.  Is the sim system flawed in this regard?
