...to get excited about a TOC team?

I have a $100mil team in the playoffs right now, hasn't even made the series yet, but I feel like if they do, they're gonna do really well in the TOC.

But the SIM usually does a good job of killing my optimism pretty quickly :P

I think it's dangerous to get excited about a TOC team until it wins. I've had a team lose in 7 games of the TOC finals (in the 10th inning of Game 7) and two teams lose in 7 games of the TOC semifinals. In all three cases, I considered those teams to be inferior to teams that got knocked out in the first round of the TOC. That either proves that the TOC is pretty much a crapshoot, as many claim, or that I still know nothing about the SIM, which may also be true.
