Aren't you the one that complained you couldn't figure out how to win in 255mil leagues? Seems like someone who knows who the best players are wouldn't have a problem.

Lets talk about great players that are the worst in sims.The Joe Morgans,Mickey Mantles,Mike Schmidts.That always sux when I use them.

I'm in a Babe Ruth clone league. the top 6 in OPS are all 1920 Ruth. 1921 ranks higher than 1923. 23 does lead the league in AVG and OBP.

Everybody knows its the '20 Ruth.
Against a 30mil pitching staff, the '04 Bonds would be the best player by a good margin.

Mantle and Schmidt have done well for me on occasion. Largely, of course, it's a matter of the opposing pitchers, but the ballparks involved have an affect, as does where they bat in the order, who bats around them, etc.

I would personally vote for `64 Roseboro as the best player in the SIM. He can totally shut down any speed team around, and many of the better teams in SIM are speed teams these days. Who else has such a profound influence on the game for only $4.2 MM? -- not even the "A" list closers like Eck or the great long relievers like Elmer Steele.
