If I had pasting skills, I would put in an Artie Johnson "very interesting" pic.

then if all hitters are "pull" and most hitters are RH it stands to reason your best range should be in LF or you can micro mng throughout the season depending on your opponents lineup.

if true its a fundamental flaw IMHO

i guess the $64,000 question is does a LF in your typical simseason get more chances than your CF'r? certainly seems as if the 3B gets an inordinate number of chances

Okay, so let me give a generic scenario.

If all 3 of your starting OF’s played CF during their careers and during the year your using who plays CF, LF, RF?

OF # 1

Range A+ range as OF 3.2

OF#2

Range A+ range as OF 2.9

OF#3
Range A range as OF 2.7

If Fielding was equal, which would you place in CF, LF, and which in RF?

I would put 3.2 in center, 2.9 in RF, and 2.7 in LF to start the season. I would then monitor the OF chances to see whether my staff/park is biased towards more balls being hit to one of the corner spots than the other. If necessary, i.e. if more balls seem to be getting hit to LF rather than right, I would flip the corner guys. This would be done at or around the 1/3 point of the season and then periodically thereafter.

I'd play the 2.9 guy in LF instead of RF. And in all honesty I'd be tempted to play the 2.9 guy in CF and the 3.2 guy in LF.
