Unless I'm just not seeing it, the record books don't seem to keep track of the most errors committed by a single player in a season.

What is the most errors any player has ever committed for you in an Open League?

I currently have '94 Kevin Mitchell with 101 errors through 52 games.

Well I played Tim Raines AT Catcher 1 game had 7 errors and 14-0 SB LOL

So season 1134 errors and 2268-0 SB that would be some thing.

Moderatto, what position is Mitchell playing?

As far as modern players not playing out of position, I've seen Howard Johnson put up some impressive error numbers.

In a recent completed season, someone played 1927 Cy Williams at SS for all 162 games, he made 292 errors (.724 field %). There's your target.
