If you were to assemble a team with the greatest pitching staff you could assemble in an 80m league, what park would you use?

Probably one that was + for singles and - for HRs....if the pitching staff is really expensive you probably won't be able to afford effective HR hitters.

COming from a Rookie I would say :

Coors/Wrigley/Kaufman

as for the question of is this a stupid question - I will defer to Boogerlips

The more I think about it, your offense would be bad but you can probably draft a team of hitters for 20 million that can at least do something (steal bases, high OBP, hit doubles or triples). I would pick one of the goofy extreme parks that suppresses everything other than one thing your offense does. Petco comes to mind, it's - everything but +3 or +4 for triples.

Find 8 guys that hit 10 triples and hope you win 2-1.

Been there, done that. Does not work.

I did something like that, not quite as extreme as your example, but I spent 55m on pitching, went with speed and defense (D was cheaper then) and put them in the Astrodome. i won my division, but less than 90 wins, and came one out away from getting into the WS. It was a good time, and I have a similar idea in an OL now. I'll let you know how it goes.
