OOP - Bernie Williams at 3B - Please help Topic

His ratings are A+/A as an oufielder.
What can I expect from him as a 3B in a single-season progressive league. TIA

I read the entire thread. What ratings would he be. B-/C????

I can't access the thread in the link but I think that is reasonably accurate. IF I remember correctly it is 1/3 of a letter for playing out of position (A/A-) and then one letter for each notch up the spectrum (B/B-).

Don't do it man, just draft a real 3b and be done with it. There are hundreds of choices for almost any park. Tell me where your playing and about what you want to spend and I'll give you a few suggestions.

It's a progressive, sometimes options are limited.......
Alot of q's have to be asked? Is draft over? What pick in what round of what year? Have you acquired/traded picks? The other OF's fielding/range? Adequate defensive b/u? Trade options? etc, etc, etc
slickstick is a good owner, I wish I had the #'s to help him.

I think he, pardon the intrusion, just wants to know about what he'd be getting from Bernie. In one of my progressives, over the years, I have used y Greg Gross at 2b at times(I know Bernie is a righty!). But after a previous update his "handedness" became too big a burden.

I wish I could help....

I wish I could help....No problem, I guess I should have paid more attention. I've not played progressives and am not qualified to offer advice on that at all. I was just thinking in terms of regular open league play. Just trying to help a newbie the same way others helped me when I started

Heh, all I do is progressives/themes.
If i played in an open league (w/out copying a top 25 team) I'd be paste....... 20-142. Then I'd be posting a QQ topic!

Progressive season is 2000.
I am loaded offensively, to the tune of 55M

No DH permitted in this league and do not want to waste Edgar Martinez big bat. I am going to play Edgar in LF.

I will use Jeffrey Hammonds and his one and only great season in CF and Tim Salmon in RF.

My pitching staff is awful, clocking in at 29M. Mostly 2 to 3M innings eaters.

This league is really difficult to trade for good pitching.
Most owners make low-ball (putting it nicely) offers.
So my best chance to acquire a good starting pitcher is by trading away Joe Randa, whom is a 3B and has a few solid seasons .

I'm not sure how a progressive works unless you are talking about Dennis Kusinich - so I may have come off the chain. But if the draft isn't over can he set minimum AB 3b to zero and "include secondary positions?" I have found a few unexpected gems that way.
