I put together a team that featured cheap pitching with .300+ hitters.
Lineup is:
RF 83 T Raines rl AVG .298 AVG# .301
SS 87 O Smith rl AVG .303 AVG# .304
CF 85 W McGee rl AVG .353 AVG# .359
3B 07 C Jones rl AVG .337 AVG# .335
CA 77 T Simmons rl AVG .318 AVG# .318
LF 64 M Mantle rl AVG .303 AVG# .312
2B 85 T Herr rl AVG .302 AVG# .308
1B many AAA and a few 3-400K scrubs.
Staff is:
04 A Joss
28 H Pennock
16 G Mogridge
02 N Garvin
99 C Knepper (scrub innings eater who is actually 4-5 which is a surprise.)
Joss, Pennock and Mogridge are unbeaten on the road, while Garvin is 3-1.
The team is 7-16 at home and 15-7 on the road.
Since the staff was weaker than I'm used to using and the hitters are all good, I went with a pitcher's park.
Colt Stadium which is (-2/-1/+1/-1/-1).
The offense has been fine, as all 7 regulars are over .300, but I just do not understand why the team's record is so bad at home. I do understand that it is very early, but the records are so conflicting.
Can anyone tell me why Colt Stadium was not a good choice? Or what choice would have been better? and why?
