Batting order position Topic

Is it important to pay attention to where a player ACTUALLY batted for the season you drafted? What I mean, fo example, is 1981 Tim Raines always hit leadoff for the Expos, will his SIM performance suffer if he's batted elsewhere?

Real life batting order is like Whatifsports, on your wedding night.

The SIM doesn't/can't take into consideration where the player actually batted in his real life order. In the specific case of Raines, and over the course of a season, batting him in a different spot in the order may effect his steal attempts. I have often used guys like the '81 Raines, several of the Garrs, the '67 and '68 Matty Alous, and even Dave Collins in the 3 or 4 hole.

That should work out OK, take your laptop into the bathroom and "do your business"... only takes a few minutes if you look at the scores and manage your team without studying the boxscores too long. From "the voice of experience".

All of my wedding nights predated the Internet.

On the first wedding night, anything I did alone in the bathroom would have been better than what occurred (or didn't) in the bedroom.
