I need some consult on how to set up my lineup, mainly the leadoff through the 3 spot. I am playing at League Park (+2 1b, +3 2b, -2/-2)

For my 1-4, I got the following:

'94 Knoblauch (9 2b/100, 702 pa)
'99 Vizquel (5 2b/100, 664 pa)
'08 Cobb (7 2b/9, 673 pa)
'34 Greenberg (9 2b/100, 703 pa)

This is my current batting order but I feel like knoblauch's doubles are little wasted, and it makes sense to have vizquel bat leadoff, knoblauch 2nd, cobb 3rd, greenberg 4th. But then, vizquel is alittle short on PA even for the 2 hole in this home park, so having him going leadoff might even wear him out even more.

However, I do plan to throw away 12-18 games because I am short on IP and PA for my bottom of the lineup, so I guess the question is, is vizquel going to be 100% for the entire season if he goes in the leadoff spot, given that he only has to play about 138 games.

I wouldn't throw away games but that's just me :)

I think Omar will be fine.

664 * (162/138) is 779, so he's got the equivalent of 779 PA if he really sits 18 games. Even if he just sits 12, he's got the equivalent of 717 and with the 10% bonus that should be enough.

I'd also hit Greenberg 3rd just since he has the PAs for it.

Wouldn't mind answering the fatigue question, but I can't imagine why people get on here and ask others to tell them how to score runs more efficiently with their lineup. Figuring that out is, like, the whole freaking point of the game.

I wonder if there would be any interest in a Boogerlips vs The Field theme league? The other 23 owners get to communicate as much they want. Draft the same team if they want. Get advice on how to manage their team as much as they want or draft/manage in whatever way they can to conspire against me. And I see if I can still squeeze into the playoffs on my own merits.

We did that agaist Miami_tilt as I recall. He did not make the playoffs. Do you think you are now better than the 'greatest player in the history of SIM'?

I'd go ahead and bat Vizquel first, Knobby second, Greenberg 3rd, and Ty 4th.... Cobb's SLG# is .518 and since his speed is only 75 in 1908, you're not really wasting speed in the 4 hole (obviously you'd set his SB at '0'). Vizquel will need some rest along the way & you can do that in the games you have to toss.
