I'm building a $120 million theme squad and need to assemble a starting rotation using these fine options:

Ron Guidry '78
Catfish Hunter '72
Vida Blue '71
Kevin Brown '96
Dwight Gooden '85
Hideo Nomo '95

No restrictions on the park. I'll choose a ballpark that best compliments the starting rotation, so feel free to suggest a park that compliments your top choices. I haven't seen much of these guys at the higher caps post-update, so any takes on their performance would be appreciated.

Gooden, Guidry, & Brown for sure. I'd probably take Nomo as the 4th. He'll get beat up but probably no more than the others and he's cheaper. Use the savings to upgrade elsewhere. - HR park.

I'd go with Caruthers and Silver King

Gooden, Guidry, Brown, and assuming you need a 4th I would probably go with Nomo. Those guys would be best in a +1B, -HR park.

I like Brown the best but he needs a - park for singles. That .220 OAV is pretty high for 120 million.

The most negative HR park you can find within the theme, and in order I'd take:

Brown

Guidry

Gooden

Blue

Nomo

Hunter

Guidry was always a lock, and thanks to the many votes of confidence I'm going with Gooden, Brown, and Nomo. Sorry Vida. No AAA so it'll be handy having a few extra IP. Hopefully one of Nomo/Brown will emerge as a solid #3 starter. Ballpark will be Jefferson Street Ground (I didn't have the guts to go with my other option, Municipal Stadium).

The offense features some classic speedsters (Henderson, Raines, Castillo) and is led by a personal favorite, Al Simmons. I'll post the occasional update on how the team is doing.

Always take a LH if you dont have one. The Babe Ruths you run into will always hit 100 points less against LH.

Catfish gives up way too many dongs. Kevin Brown is almost always money, and I see Gooden be hit/miss.....really...haahh.

Kevin Brown never seems to do as well as he should for me, even in theme leagues he is decent but not great like his stats would suggest.
