if you're banned, how do you keep yapping?

He spent a little time in the 9-hole, mostly leading off (90+% of the season).

I was going to make a comment about Walt Weiss' a-hole and Mudbone, but I don't want to get banned. I ain't got no aliases.

You only get banned if a narc tattles and if the jackbooted thugs in support agree with the redline. The jackboots are notorious hypocrites, so anything is possible.

muddy, quick question I was told that if i started a thread and some jerk came in and talked trash that was off topic I could click on report and eliminate the post. That's all good but I really don't want to get people banned please explain if you can

Site staff has to manualy come in and review the post and remove it if they choose. Often, if the post merits removal, a forum ban will be given to the poster.
People don't get redlined very often in this forum. I think I've done it twice in two years, and neither were in this forum. My advice would be to take it easy and ignore posts you view as untolerable. Get a feel for the way people interact here before you get all emotional. You are far and away the most sensitive poster that has come through here in a while. Given enough time, you'll shed that off.

Redlined off-topic posts are usually just deleted with no banning. Spam, porn, swear words and personal info about another user are what gets one banned. But the jackbooted thugs in support sometimes ban a user even though no rules have been broken. It's happened to me at least twice that I can recall. They're pretty hypocritical about bannings.

Hell, I got banned once for talking trash in a trash-talking league SPECIFICALLY started for me and another user to abuse each other. Support said I was out of line. That's a good example of the hypocrisy that rules around here.

I really don't take things personally but I do get irratated when a really good thread changes direction and becomes a boxing match, guess I'll have to get used to it
