Managing Fatigue effectivelyquestion Topic

I am still learning and have a question about fatigue. 10 games into the season a few of my players are dropping from 100% to like 97 - 99%. When should I rest them. Do I wait until they drop down more or rest them now? How is the best way to approach this? If I play them as they fatigue will they burn out? Thanks in advance

There's no rule for when to rest them, but I usually sit tired players in games vs. the opposite league and against teams I'm not in direct competition with for a playoff spot.

If you're in a standard league, games 21-24 and 29-32 will be against the opposite league. Use some of those games to rest your players.

If you're only 10 games into the season and your players are already at 97%, then its going to get worse pretty quick. Hold your cursor over their fatigue percentage; a note on what their pace is will pop up. Players are granted a 10%-over-pace cushion before they fatigue. Anything over that will be directly deducted from them by game 15. So, if you have a player that is 25% over pace, then by game 15 he'll be at 85% fatigue.

Sometimes you can manage through it by dropping guys down into the lineup as well for a couple games (if you have others with enough plate appearances to put at the top of the lineup).

Resting players early in the season is MUCH more effective than later on.

I use the 'steroid boost' cheat code myself.

best to keep them at 100% for most of the first 100 games or so. If you wear them out now they play tired for the rest of the season, if instead you wear them out late in the season they only play tired for a few more games. playing a key opponent you might want to wait until the series is over to rest them. also wait a game if you have a favorable matchup now or if a bad pitcher is coming up next.

Thanks for adding advice. You guys have set my mind at ease. I am resting my guys early to have them down the stretch. Had 5 AAA players start my last game and win, now 10-5. I will rest my starters in the way you guys suggest...Thanks again...
