C at 3B Topic

I know there was a thread or two about this a while back, but I can't remember the results. Could someone tell me if a good-fielding catcher could handle his sh*t at third base? I'm not looking for gold-glove caliber fielding, just basic competence.

it wouldn't be good, but it wouldn't be awful either. i'd guess probably around a .930-.940 F% from an A fielding catcher.

Biglenr ran an all-catchers league a while back, and the good fielding catchers did MUCH better than that at third. I can't remember if we played before or after the last update, though....

It was before the update.....catchers aren't nearly as good as they were.

I would think there fielding would be similar but the C will have a better range.
