I am trying to figure out a way to set this up using more than a 2 man rotation. We will have 2 BA AAA pitchers.

I am thinking about going:

O'Toole
Farrell
and then a Tandem of Fischer (PC 40 because of ip/g) and the combo ofGatewood (PC 40 because of ip/162) and my bad AAA starter.

Any other ideas would be welcome.

I was also thinking of going:

O'Toole
Farrell
Gatewood
AAA Starter

and just have Gatewood and the AAA Starter skipped most of the time.

I fugure Gatewood and the AAA starter would get about 20 starter between them with a PC of 80ish. O'Toole and Farrell would get about 70 starts each. Farrell would have a PC of 50 but O'Toole might be able to get away with close to 60. I haven't done the math yet.

I would say that you are hamstrung given the low IP/G of the guys in the bullpen. Your dead correct on your SP not being able to go past 40-50 PC just because of the fatigue factor of having to start so many games.

You could conceivably keep Giusti in the rotation as well as a spot starter to help alleviate fatigue, but your pen will be seeing many appearances.

As the 2nd guy in the tandem, if you set his pull at 4 or 5, Miller shouldn't get too far beyond his IP/G most of the time. Nobody is throwing more than 45-50 pitches in a start with this setup but you'd still have a fairly deep 'pen.
