In your opinion, is this a less quality of a pitcher than Setup A, or a pitcher with less innings(pitches) to give?

Or setup A is a AAA guys set at a 5 pull ( eat some innings)
Setup B are my good pen guys

Less Quality, I usually have my Setup B guys available in the 6th inning and my Setup A guys available in the 7th or 8th (depending on how many I have).

I normally don't use a closer so my Setup A guys are the best guys I have in the pen. I normally take everyone else and make them SetupB, unless there is an obvious Long A guy or mopup.

I guess that would work if there was only 1 setup A guy but if you have more than one available, sparky will keep using the lower quality before the better ones. After the first guys gets in trouble wouldn't you want the better pitcher to come in?

Oh yes just the inning eater at setup A 5 pull.The good pitchers at setup B.Or I have run and do like what you do.Get all great bull pen pitchers.Set every one at setup A 2 or 3 pull.That works out pretty good most the time.

Many way's to run this and a lot of times I will just set all my 100% guys at setup A.And move guys that are under like the mid 90% to setup B.Just in case my team needs them.

I never use Long A or Long B and set my bullpen up with higher IP guys as Set Up A and then lower IP guys as Set Up B. I try to have at least one real good Set Up B guy so when the A guys fatigue he's available to serve as ersatz Set Up A

for me Setup B is for low inning pitchers halfway between Long A and Setup A. they'll setup when I run out of setup A and they get used ahead of Setup A when I run out of long relievers and it's not a setup situation.
