I am currently in a TOC with an $80M open league team, why am I competing with teams up to $100M?

The real worth of your AAA players put your team salary over 90M.

Does it take into account the real worth of the AAA players on the $100M reams?

Yes, but a 100M team in a 100M TOC probably doesn't have any AAA.

Ok, that being said, how is it possible that my rag AAA players will have any where near the impact of an extra $20M to spend on everyday players. Even if you waste $6-$8M on bench guys, there are still rosters in here with 2,3 or 4 $7M-$8M everyday players, not even counting the dominating pitching staffs a $100M budget can give you. I just don't see how it is fair or how the $80M teams can compete. There are enough OL $80M teams to fill a TOC league in a short period of time, this is unfair AND un-American.

they don't have to be worth 20mil, just 10.0000001 mil.

How's that again jfranco?

If the total worth of your AAA players, plus the salary of your roster, puts you at $90,000,001, then you will be placed in the 100M TOC. An 80M TOC includes teams with total roster value of $70,000,001 - $80,000,000. A 90M TOC includes teams with total roster value of $80,000,001 - $90,000,000. Etc.

It's not perfect, but what do you want them to do? Have TOCs in brackets of $1,000,000? Those would never fill.

And in almost all cases it's more realistic (and fair) to bucket your team in with a $100,000,000 team than one with $80,000,000 total roster value.

You also have to consider that most 100M teams come from themes where the pool of players you can draft from is going to be restricted. Whereas an OL team can load up on cookie players. When my 100M "teammates of Jim Dwyer" team faces an OL team, I'm not sure which one should be considered the favorite.

Pretty sure that would be the OL team.

OK, appreciate the explanation. Thanks
