TPC vs MPC question Topic

I understand the difference between the 2, but how are the settings actualy used in the Sim?

I was thinking of a reply, but my reply would describe the difference between the two, which you say you already know even though it seems that thats what you're asking, so I'm not sure what you want. Below is a picture of the black hole you just created. A far away solar system sends their thanks for sucking their worlds into oblivion...

my pitchers generally end up pretty close to their TPC, if I have a guy who is at 90/105, he'll generally average about 92-94.

not that I really understand how it works either.

Good point Booger, guess my question is does the sim try to get to a pitchers tpc or max pitch count? If I set a pitcher at a 80 tpc and 150 mpc, what would his expected usage per game be? Or do I not understand the difference.

From the Help guide:

"In the Advanced Settings, pitch counts may be set for pitchers. The TPC is the Target Pitch Count. A pitcher will attempt to reach this many pitches in each game. In extenuating circumstances, he may pitch beyond his TPC, but will never exceed his Max Pitch Count. A pitcher will always come out of the game within a few pitches of his MPC (usually his TPC) based on the situation. In general, an SLB inning takes about 15 pitches."

As usual, WIS tells you how it works without really telling you how it works, but maybe it still helps somewhat. In your 80/150 example, it seems the sim would try to get the pitcher to 80, but allow him to go as high as 150 in their "extenuating circumstances" (maybe while pitching a no-hitter or closing out an inning where no other relievers are eligible to appear).

No way, next you're gonna tell me there's some kind of FAQ!
