Was just checking some of my competition in my new open league when I saw an odd line in another players real life team pitching statistics. At the bottom where the totals are there was a line that said "hitter totals." Just like the line in your hitting stats that shows your "pitcher totals." Anyway - 1898 Charlie Hickman is valued as an OF. 64 AB's nothing of note, hit .259 and has a price tag of about $203,000. What throws this out of whack is he also threw 36 pretty good innings as a pitcher. He would have been valued WAY higher as a pitcher - my guess in the $700,000+ range. I've never seen this before on the hitter side, but my guess is you get 64 AB's and 36 IP out of this guy.
So why is he classified as a hitter?
