Much difference between these two gents in your experience. Hard to tell looking at their stats

I tend to go with '12. Unless you're in a big - HR park, the '13 version will just give up too many solo HRs.

'12 if you are in a +HR park

'13 if you are in a -HR park

From what I've seen, the '13 version is much better than '12 in high cap leagues.

on paper it looks like a close call. in actual play '13 has been consistantly better for me at $100-160M. I haven't played much $180M.

13 in Petco - 12 in Coors. Extreme examples. Got it. graci.

'12 in Coors would give up a ton of HR. You want to use deadball SP with very few HR given up and low inning RP who gave up 1-3 HR on the season there.

they're very close with the Hr/9 being the "big deal" as outlined above. The 1912 would probably be my choice, despite the fact his hit rate of .253 is about 12% higher than the '13 interation. I wouldn't want either in AFC, Great American, New Yankee, Tiger, etc...

I find I can't use Johnson '13 on a $255mil Coors field team. He used to be just about the best in any league/stadium, but I've been very disappointed so far. '12 isn't doing much better, but there's my two cents...

1912 Johnson has performed badly for me in 2 active leagues:

$120M with 6/2 WAA AAA, home Fenway Park (HR LF/RF:1/0 1B:2 2B:4 3B:0):

$120M with no AAA, home PNC Park (HR LF/RF:-1/-1 1B:2 2B:1 3B:-1):

Not much for $17.53M. I just wish my batters could hit against him!

I tried posting the stats but it didnt post right. I used 12 Johnson in a 255 cap all in wis park, he is 2nd in cy. There are 3 13 Johnson with better ERA though.

I know small sample, but my '12 WJ is sporting an 8 era after 3 games in 120M.

Personally, I think the '13 is better if you don't put him in an extreme hr park at higher caps.

I have usually gone with '12 in higher cap leagues but he doesn't seem to perform nearly as well as he used to. I would probably go with '13 and keep him in a somewhat friendly hr park.
