10’ White. 1st game 8(0), 2nd 8(48)?? Topic

My 1910 Doc White's fatigue trajectory is menacing to the team. With 251ip in rl he leads off a four man rotation. He pitches 6-2/3 innings and is 8(0). After the 2nd game he is 8(48). What is happening and what can be expected? I remember from playing long ago that the season begins with oddities like this and then levels off. Can I expect the same?

how many pitches did he throw, he was probably only good for 90 or so in a 4 man rotation?

Thanks. Doc's tpc is set at 90 and mpc at 100. He threw 99 in that first game and will have his next start at 98%. I moved his mpc down to 95. How does one determine the pitch count to use? Experience and gut feeling or is there a formula? What is being used now is the "recommendations"

That's for in-game fatigue only.

The recommendations are based on total innings pitched/number of pitchers in your rotation. I think they're quite worthless, except in terms of "spreading out" your pitchers' innings so that you have enough to last a season.

elbirdo's pitch allocation postings are still gospel in this area, as far as I know. I've bumped the thread.

I have used elbirdo's gospel in the past and my team won 98 games and all 4 starters were @ 100% almost the entire season. It's fantastic.

re el birdo's pca: Nice and simple explanation and formula with endorsements.
