Def ++ plays a kept stat in league? Topic

I just figured out how, in the box score, to see if there were any + plays during the game. Is that a stat that is kept throughout the season that I can follow? I was reading another post where someone was talking about how many + or - plays specific players had during a season. Were they keeping score on a notepad? thanks

Click on your team's name in the league standings page. From the window that pops up, you can scroll between 'hitting', 'pitching', and 'fielding' stats. And also 'totals' and 'advanced'.

That stat will be under 'fielding' and I think 'totals'. In the 'league leaders' window the leagues totals are under 'fielding' and I think 'advanced'.

Individual hitters can be clicked on. Click 'regular season' stats and both hitting and fielding stats are displayed.

This wins the award for shortest Ooooohdoggie post of all time! Of course it must be noted that he couldn't just post 5 letters. He had to add extra spaces above and below those letters.

07 Oct 1964, St. Louis, Missouri, USA --- 10/7/1964-St. Louis, MO: Lou Brock of the Cardinals scores the first run of the World Series opener, without a play on him in the first inning. He raced in from third base on Ken Boyer's fly to Mickey Mantle in right field. Yanks' catcher is Elston Howard.

Yes, this was a great answer. Also the post of my favorite player, Lou Brock was an unexpected bonus. Thanks

doggie are you a 60s Cardinal fan too, or just a broad spectrum collector? oh, and thanks

You're welcome. I am more the broad spectrum collector, I have found posting card images in the forums that I can search for on the internet is a more frugal way to fill my desire to be opening new packs of cards.

I do admire the St. Louis Cardinals example of how they have kept their franchise a beloved part of the St. Louis community.

I'm in my late 40's, so talk of my hometown Cubs trading away Lou Brock, Curt Flood challenging Baseball's Reserve clause, and Topps baseball cards were all part of my early experiences with baseball. Eventually I became a fan of the less popular Chicago White Sox.

Also the 1968 World Series was the first one I can remember following.

1962 Topps Orig. Color Negative. Lou Brock CUBS
