The Last Coors Field Team Topic

So due to the recent updates, my last true Coors Field team has just finished. And when I say true Coors Field team I mean the type of team that loved playing a 17-15 type of game. Let the other team score, I'll come back in the end. You'll just fatigue yourself anyway trying to catch up to me. In doing this five of my last 6 big offense teams won between 85-95 games, with two making the playoffs. It was a ton of fun watching all of the runs these teams could produce. Unfortunately though I had a winning formula that worked that the new changes killed:

1)Taking about 50-55M on Hitters
2)Making sure the starting rotation also hit well (The new update made them now too expensive)
3)Spending the pitching money on a decent bullpen so I don't lose late if I have a lead
4)Only drafting about 1100-1200 IP and relying heavily on the AAA in long relief(another thing the update killed)

There are other stuff that I did to make them win but that was the basics. The last thing the update did which was the final nail in the coffin was making it so the huge scoring games didn't fatigue out the opposing team as much.

This team I made was the most fun. "Yankees in Coors". I took all the Yankee greats- Mantle, Ruth, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Yogi, etc. and etc. and put them all on the same team and in Coors. I had a couple name Yankee pitchers too, like Ford and Rivera, but not all were Yankees. I scored 1267 runs and had 7 guys with 100 RBIs or better. And most importantly- I went 87-75 and made the playoffs in a league full of Veteran and HOF players.

Unfortunately I was insistent on putting Rivera on this team and keeping him even though I knew he was overpriced. It turned out a terrible move- he was terrible in the regular season with well over a 4.00 ERA and in the first round of the playoffs I made a bad mistake and accidently put him available in the 8th instead of the 9th (I thought I had him for just the ninth but I must have hit the wrong selection on the listbox). As his normal MO (no pun intended) he blew the save game 1 as soon as he got over an inning and I lost in 5.

And that will be the last time I will ever play a true Coors field team. It was fun while it lasted.

Here it is-The last true Coors Field team:
