Left Handed or Right Handed Pitching Topic

General Question:

When you are putting togther a pitching staff, how much does this factor in? For example if you have 4 starters, do you try to have 2 of them ies?

I always thought the general consensus was that the LH pitchers underperformed.

best starters available regardless of which arm. unless it's some theme league where I expect a lot of y hitters to be used I don't care if I have any LHP starters.

I like to have a couple ies in my bullpen with low pitch counts. Sparky generally brings them in when y batters are coming up.

I usually draft ALL right handed pitchers, but lately Ive went with 1 or 2 ies and I must say 1932 Carl Hubbell has preformed as well if not better then alot of my RH pitchers

Mostly it's about who fits the theme or my team's approach best. But if at all possible I usually try to have at least 1 y in my rotation. And I definitely make sure to have one in the 'pen. But I'm not as opposed to ies as some owners. I've even used them as closers sometimes.

I don't automatically put two y starters on my staff, but as indicated somewhere above, it can happen depending on what best fits my team and stadium.

The SIM gives a 5% advantage in the opposite hand pitcher/hitter matchups, or so it's been said through the years. Most hitters are right handed. If I'm playing home games in a stadium that has + HR numbers to field then I'm more apt than not to avoid starting a y starter

that's why I draft 4 or 5 y hitters. if 'all RHP starters' becomes the fad people will begin loading their lineup with mostly y hitters. then we'll need y starters again. Advantage to those who stay ahead of the trend.

Funny what the internet does to people like me. I see "teh" and the context instantly changes from "This person is stating something straightforwardly" to "This person is making a point an idiot would make."

Way before I realize it's a typo.
