the fact that I can put together a team--everytime, despite all the salary adjustments, that can make the playoffs using the same old players.

No, I'm not. I just tend to stay with the players that work. My point is, that those players should be priced accordingly in order to balance the field of play. Over the last several iterations of salary rebalancing, I can still put a team together that will usually outperform other more "creative" teams.

Not sure what this means, but I put together a team from players I used to like to use a few updates ago, and they look like solid playoff candidates. Maybe the issue is not as much finding good players as avoiding bad ones.
