was just checking out a few of the repriced fill ins and really like a few of them:

2005 Prince Fielder, 62 PA, 2 homers, .288 BA, 110 AVG+, .459 SLG 103 OBP+ for about $202k

2002 Howie Clark, 58 PA, .302 AVG, 114 AVG+, .362 OBP, .396 SLG for $200k

1945 Clyde Sukeforth, 58 PA, .294 AVG, .345 OBP for $200k

2007 Chris Gomez, 55PA, .283, 105 AVG+, good fielder at 1b and 3b at $200k

The 1947 Pete Castiglione gives you 55 PA, .280, 105 AVG+, and C/C+ at SS for $200k

1923 Hargrave has a C+ arm at catcher with a .288/102+, and .331 OBP for $200k

the 2000 Valdes has a .426 SLLG, .278 BA with a 101 AVG+ and .350 OBP while fielding C/D-

the 1898 Chrlie Hickman is 67 PA, .259/96+, and A+ OF range for $230k

The list can go on. Seems as if a lot of these guys are fairly usable, and there are others with good speed who could be used as pinch runners.

I noticed this too... My fav is Wilson Delgado who has a .320 avg and .414 obp for only $250K... It seems logical now to keep one $200K scrub on you bench as a pure pinch hitter.

And these types of players make all those ridiculously priced low PA, A+ arm catchers look even more ludicrous.

agreed, it can also help in using the fatigue strategy... some of these guys can hit well enough to win some games early on while fatigue dampening is on. Then you can dump them to AAA and waive them off your extended roster to pick up that $1.5mm player. Allows you to draft fewer PAs?
