Is it just me, or does the SIM 1927 Lou Gehrig consistantly underperform? Everytime I have him on a team, he hits about .270. Comparable Ruths on my team hit in the mid .300s.

I have often wondered if it is because I usually bat him 5th. I wonder if SIM has things programmed so that if he hits 4th he would produce better.

Any opinions on this one???

The Sim does not know what position in the line-up a batter hits.

Seems to be performing just fine for me...

could be the cap or the stadium. or a mixture of the 2

My only dream about WIS was about 27 Lou Gehrig. He hit 3 grand slams in the same game.

I've had excellent luck with '27 Gehrig. I aways select him. he's ( overall ) the best performer I've ever had. I play $255 mill leagues approx 90% of time. I usually have Gehrig, Ruth, Mantle, Cobb .. I am very pleased with gettinf my monies worth. I don't have much problem getting offense or defense. But I can't get enough correct pitching to win a league. I love this game ... but I haven't won yet ??? So I don't know what my opinions are worth. Good luck !!

Has only stumbled once for me, even at 255.

Try a lower cap. I haven't play many caps above $80M but how offense dominates the sim, I think you will have a tough time finding dominant pitching above $120M or so.
