Anyone else notice a distinct drop in available talent on the waiver wire? Is this part of the update?

It's being picked clean by Crazystengel's GM II League. There are 24 owners checking it 8 times a day...give it a few days it will appear more normal.

Ok, sounds reasonable, thanks.....

i was wondering the same thing. a bunch of players that are almost unusable

The theme is you get an actual 2009 franchise (ranging form roughly 55-75M in salary), and the salary cap is 90M, so everyone has a lot of extra cash to spend and horrible players to dump. That's why there are so many bad 2009 players on the WW right now.

The same thing happened a few months ago the first time I ran this theme. As winnetka1 said, it'll go back to normal in a few days. I apologize to anyone who's been inconvenienced.

...and there are good players that appear. Guys are getting on it right away and making swift choices. If it was completely stalled there wouldn't be any transactions but there are plenty of transactions that have been made. I would suggest monitoring the wire often and be ready to make a move soon as you spot something.

And exactly how will this help people find someone to blame when their teams struggle?

Glad I have no need of the WW at this time.....because it really does SUCK and is overrun with 2009 players.

WIS needs to have some kind of check and balance to keep theme leagues with extraordinary WW needs from so drastically affecting the WW for all leagues.

By the way, sounds like a cool theme

Wis should just regulate the wire by imputing some of the most popular players and random players too keeping a certain total salary on the entire WW or something

WIS has stated that it doesn't want the WW to be a dependable source of solid players all the time, believing it's more realistic for it to be a crapshoot.

It's restocked by add/drops, but I think WIS replenishes it as well (or used to). I find the game more fun with a well-stocked wire.

and it will be so soon...
