My 3 teams made a total of 8 + plays in 3 games and I my opponents made 4 against me.
Is this coincidence or it's the effect of the new fielding? Granted I always have a bunch of A+ range guys on my teams but I don't recall seeing that many + plays in only 3 games.
Anybody else has noticed something like that?
If so, I'm starting to understand why the price of D has gone up that much.
12 + plays in 3 games seems extreme but I wouldn't be against having defense play a bigger role in the game.
Ever since they drastically cut down on + plays a few years back, I've felt the infielders weren't getting their fair share of great plays. The top range 2B and SS couldn't even get to double digits in + plays, guys like A+++ '82 Ozzie Smith, '80 Garry Templeton average something like 7,8 + plays, which is way too low compared to A+++ OF who get 40 to 60 +...
