Also, I haven't looked in a while but isn't the average salary of a non-starting NBA player just north of 4 million?    At 7 players, that is almost half of the cap!  This version of the salaries is way less repressive than that.  I realize there are things in the NBA like guys who vastly underperform and overperform, but I would still say that 14% of your cap space to a full bench is simply ridiculous.

robusk, you really need to be quiet.

And for the love of all things holy, does nobody know what cookie-cutter means?!?!  Jeez.

Clever retort.

Seriously, this is just empty whining for people who want to go farther from realism instead of closer to it.

If that is what they want, then fine.  Just state that.

However, given the option of theme leagues, I believe that that option already exists,

isnt the average soft cap level for an NBA team somewhere in the 55m range? yeah that's what I thought

do I agree that one way to address the issue would be to make the open league default cap higher like irl? yes or you can adjust the players down a wee bit

what you cant do is try to base an sim valuation argument on real life valuation where there are unlimited vet min slots and a soft cap and the average nba team salary structure is 12-15m higher than the WIS version

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.

noted - i tend to agree with ash though that with just 4 NBA seasons your opinion should probably not weigh the same as a guy who has been on the site since 2001 and has more NBA titles than any other user
