I've actually sent a ticket in regarding Luis Castillo of the Detroit Tigers. When I first found him I thought he'd be a lot of fun and niche to roster for 200k of 4 dominant innings. However, once in the league I discovered that he was in fact very much broken. As you can see below, I rostered both the 200k Luis castillo and the combined season of the other Luis Castillo for $4.66m. In my draft center, the show there proper stats - however, once in the league and in the league page, the 200K Castillo mirrors the stats of the $4.66M Castillo. So, essentially you're getting 154IP of 1.07whip for 200k (definitely the best value in the sim! :-P)

I knew someone else would find him and figure it out soon enough - a guy like thought won't fly under the radar long. Didn't want anyone to think there was intent to cheat when building my teams with him

I also had sent a ticket. I'm not sure if they realize there are 2 different Luis Castillo, the Tiger is a rookie, doesn't appear unless you actually view the Detroit bbref.com roster.

I don't see any other sub 25 inning pitchers in the system.

This was the initial response I got - I showed screenshots of how they show the same player in the league and managers office and haven't seen a reply. Looks like you got it first though Doc.

I also sent bbref a note. It threw me off at first, the 2nd Castillo didn't come up in a player search. Then I did see him on their roster...he is missing from their player database...

How's Edwin Diaz gonna compare with a guy like '81 Jeff Reardon? Similar salary and IP, Reardon is a bit lower WHIP and OAV, could Edwin's 17+ K/9 make up for it? Is he overpriced, that he might not normalize all that well?

His higher K/9 will allow him to be stretch his IP further due to his pitch allocation.

Reardon, Diaz and the '03 Smoltz are all about the same in cost and innings... personally I wouldn't turn my nose up to any of them...How does Diaz compare?

it's likely less effective but more IP, probably a similar $/IP value when adjusted for pitching runs created for both of them... between the three, I'd probably go Smoltz... but if I were looking for a pitcher with those IP and $ for an OL, I'd probably go '17 Neshek

At this point, I think every player should be in the WIS database regardless of IP or PAs.

Let us decide who to draft. RP's are more relevant than ever, even if they only have 4 IP!

You might be able to get a handful of decent 5-10 pitch appearances out of him before he melts...
