I was a light hitting catcher with no speed. One scout said I was the only one that could stretch a triple into a single. I hit .271 that year 2 errors and threw out 31 of 36 baserunners.
Still, drawing no interest I came home went to college and got a crappy job. Started playing again in a fast pitch league 25 and over. Then went to 30 and over. Retired 2 years ago at 39. Knees just can't take it anymore.
I miss the hell out of gunning down baserunners!
stretch a triple into a single LMAO!!
Pretty impressive A+++ arm though! Wish I'd played against you, I have a steal % around 95% for my career. A lot of times it's just too easy, I always love to face catchers with strong arms to make it a real challenge.
But at 42 I feel 2010 might be my last season, or else I'll have to change my style of play 'cause my legs are really starting to hurt all the time. I've kept training all winter so far but man, when it's not the hamstring it's the knee, when not the knee, the ankle, or all of the above... Getting old sucks...
