I've quit adding leagues.  there are two progressive leagues I've considered joining but after the UPL just died, and in light of the response sly got to his ticket, I'm not going to be adding any more leagues.  I'm using up the credits I have on leagues I've committed to until they die as well.  Which won't be long with what's going on right now.
You're not the only one.... our pay to play progressive (prize pool with NON REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE) is losing two more owners this year.  If you have money invested and still want to walk away- that pretty much sums it all up.

Thinking about sending a letter to the parent company. It is crazy to just sit back and watch the crumbling of all these theme leagues.  Owners refusing  to wait any longer on an update that is way over due...... I could  go on but  u'  all know the story...........

no new leagues for me. this is a f-cking joke and not worth the headache. if you need me, i'll be on youjizz.

i think i know your problem sly.  you were using logic.  i think they should suspend/extend the expiration of credits as an olive branch for the delay in the new season.  prorities are out of wack here.  they're trying to fix the cruise control and forgot to change the oil.  when a product loses this much momentum, how much time/money is required to get it going again?  post the players!

Changes within the last 365 days...

  • Improved All-Star team selection logic to create better balance by position.
  • Added Sixth Man to the awards listed on the League Leaders.

I'm astounded that I pay to play this thing.

I'm now going to drop the funk52 league & the EOL which I just worked hard to resurrect.  After my current batch of teams runs their course, I'm dropping OL altogether.

This leaves one prog league and the ODL.

For now.

WIS:  You have some serious ground to make up.  And I've been a supporter throughout this offseason debacle.

It's really too bad there's no other legitimate competition to WIS.  If there was, this wouldn't be so frustrating.  But we all love playing this thing, or at least we did once upon a time.

Below are 2 posts from the HD forum. Just to let everyone know where the time is being spent. So now that HD is almost finished, what are the odds some work on the sim will get done.

Just wanted to post something here to let you guys know I'm still alive.  Been super busy lately, but still working on some engine tweaks that should address some of the inconsistency in game-to-game results.

I've made some good progress this week on the engine tweaks.  Below is a list of the changes that are included.  This will probably be released next week at some point.
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in rebounding
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in shooting
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in fouls
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in turnovers
  • Reduced game-to-game variance on FT shooting
  • Changed the performance decrease from fatigue so that there will be less of a decrease in general due to fatigue, but a greater decrease than before when a player gets into the range of Tired/Very Tired
  • Reduced offensive rebound odds on free throw misses
  • Various minor logic improvements
The net result of these changes will be a reduction in upsets and more consistent results game to game.  You should also see fewer of the really extreme results.  Upsets will still happen though, as they should, so don't expect to not see them at all after the release.

then again why should there be upsets?

  • Reduced game-to-game variance in shooting
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in fouls
  • Reduced game-to-game variance in turnovers
  • Reduced game-to-game variance on FT shooting
all things that have been asked for time & time again here in the NBA sim.
It's like he took some of our complaints and applied them somewhere else.  Glad to know our complaints paid off somewhere.

Agreed, and as much as I don't really care for seble...he's really a victim of the WIS system, unless he's the one that set it up this way, where he is "running" two games but only clearly giving one all the grease.  I love that the solution is always "cut staff".

Wow, everyone needs to check out the spreadsheet seble just made available for review.  There are some HUGE salary adjustments.

Moses' best season is $1 mil cheaper.  Several Wilt seasons are nerfed by $2 mil to as much as $5 mil.  Hakeem, Garnett, and Kareem are all much cheaper.

Wilt has the only 2 player seasons that top $10 mil (61-62 and 62-63).

At a quick glance I'd say that in this proposed price structure, defense costs a whole lot less and offense costs about the same or a bit more.  Jerry Stackhouse is more expensive.  Glen Rice is way more expensive (his 96-97 season goes from $4.5 mil to $6.4 mil).
