In the 1/4 AM game Larry Bird played center (he was not on the depth chart for that position to further hammer this point home he is only slated to play small forward and is not 100% to play that position) and Hot Rod Williams played small forward (he was not on the depth chart for that position either, and he is not 100% to play that position and never played there in his real life career).
 
What can do done to fix this from happening? This has been a reoccuring issue that really needs fixing. I know we complain a lot on the message boards, but we would really like some work to help with these annoyances. If we in the community can help please let us know what we can do to make sure that this and the other grievances that have been addressed by the community-at-large ad nauseam can be fixed.

The best thing you can do is completely fill out the depth chart, even if you set target minutes to zero. For example, if you set Williams to depth 3 at center with zero minutes, he probably would have been at center in this scenario.
 
Essentially, the SimEngine iterates through a number of different lineup combinations and evaluates each one to find the best. But it doesn't check every possible lineup, so there may be times where it isn't optimal.

So in short it was my fault...I didn't respond back because I didn't want to be permanently banned like monkee and e-monk were.  More accurately I didn't want to have a seizure.

I think we all know that the NBA SIM has seen it's last update ever and that WIS is hoping all it's users get tired of this crap and leave, but we'll show them: we're going to stay forever and keep complaining - at least until a better option comes along.

WIS seems content to have a product that's "just good enough"- whether its SimLeagues or Dynasty games. They are just a hair better than the competition, and refuse to become worlds better. They're like those guys that are drafted with all the potential in the world, but work just hard enough to be worth a roster spot.
